West-A-Wake Eggs was founded in 1914 by Richard Mulhern, whose entrepreneurial spirit saw him collect eggs from the local farmers and sell them to local shops in the West of Ireland. West- A -Wake Eggs remains very much a family business, now run by Noel Mulhern, Richard Mulhern’s grandson.
They operate a fully developed quality management system and a quality assurance control plan based on the principles of HACCP at our egg production and packing facility. Product identification and traceability is a key element of their quality management system. This ensures that their eggs can be easily traced back to the farm of origin.
Their high quality egg production and packing facility, and membership of the An Bord Bia Egg Quality Assurance Scheme mean that they are an experienced and reputable egg supplier for hotels, restaurants and retail outlets, including supermarkets and multiples.
